As our Senior System Administrator, you will assist with the implementation of IT strategies, policies and procedures by working closely with leadership to identify problems, evaluate trends, and anticipate requirements. What You Will Do
Ensure the proper functioning of our information processing systems, identify critical improvements and oversee solution upgrades
Maintain quality service by helping to establish and enforce organization standards
Safeguard internal systems and cloud-hosted environments
Manage the maintenance of a mix of Microsoft and Linux desktops and servers, working within Active Directory and a number of domain services (DHCP, DNS, etc.), and providing technical support and guidance to users in Google Apps, mobile devices, and a wide variety of systems when needed
You have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in CIS, Business or related field, and at least five years' System Administration experience in a fast-paced environment with continuously shifting demands and priorities
You have experience with vendor relationship management and purchasing
Your excellent communication and listening skills give you the ability to work across multiple departments to understand business requirements, anticipate and avoid potential problems and implement innovative solutions
You are adept at effectively prioritizing and managing competing projects
You have a comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology, and your technical expertise covers a wide range of hardware, software and networking disciplines, including experience with the installation/configuration of servers and server operating systems, particularly Windows Server 2008-2016 and Ubuntu/CentOS/Oracle Linux
● Understanding of network terminology as needed for troubleshooting at the data level
● Experience with the installation/configuration of desktop computers and desktop operating systems, including but not limited to Windows 7 and 10
● Experience in Active Directory Domain Services
● Experience with Aruba/Juniper Switches and Sophos XG UTM
● Experience with Apache/NGINX, Tomcat, and Oracle in production environment
● Experience using Nutantix
● Experience with FTP, SFTP, SMTP, and SSH
● Familiarity using Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
● Experience providing mentorship or team leadership
