The battle is fought every day to ensure that individuals are prepared, proactive, and empowered for any event or outbreak ' from bioterrorism and newly emerging disease such as the Zika virus to the old diseases that never left.

Join the fight at the front lines – as a Associate Public Health Consultants (APHC) you will be responsible for developing and implementing knowledge transfer material, strategies to improve process workflow and services that enhance important public health initiatives such as immunization registry programs, interoperability and more. You will be a key team member in supporting intelligence solutions for a healthier future - for you, your family and community.

What you will do:
 Install, configure and implement HL7 interfaces according to system specifications
 Execute and document HL7 interface test plans and carries out testing with clients and/or third parties
 Entry level project management duties including implementing work plans
 Develop detailed understanding of the STC product line
 Develop training documentation and other knowledge transfer vehicles to improve client understanding of STC products and HL7 messaging
 Demonstrate public health subject matter expertise to support STC public health software applications including, immunization information systems, syndromic surveillance, STD and infectious disease management systems
 Work with peers in local and state government to support public health program outcomes, work processes and identify mechanisms to use information systems to achieve program goals
 Assist in the analysis of workflows to develop recommendations to incorporate use of STC products to improve efficiencies
 Assist in conducting and writing gap analysis to improve public health services
 Assist in creation and execution of product testing scripts
 Attend on-site meetings, trainings and provide technical assistance to clients and end users of the applications
 Communicate with technical staff, product teams, clients and third parties
 Perform other duties as assigned

What you will need:
 Ability to communicate and present complex public health concepts and solutions to diverse stakeholders
 Analytical skills with the ability to learn new applications quickly
 Ability to research solutions independently
 Ability to self-teach and effectively apply subject matter information to daily tasks
 Excellent written and communication skills
 Strong Microsoft Office skills (including Microsoft Word and Excel)
 Strong attention to detail and organization with overriding desire to validate software adherence to business requirements
 Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Education and Certification:
 A Bachelor's degree in a public health, natural science, health technology related field or certificate in Public Health/ Public Health Informatics with 1 to 2 years' experience in applied public health to include service within a local, state or federal agency or medical practice
 A Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH), natural science or health technology related field
 Any combination of the requirements above will be considered

Knowledge and Experience:
 Experience with immunization interoperability and HL7 messaging or detailed technical message specifications preferred
 Experience working with immunization programs preferred
 Experience working with EHR vendors and interfaces preferred

STC's office is located in Scottsdale, but in January 2018 STC's headquarters is moving to our own building in the Warehouse District.
